Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Prayvite’s website, applications, invitation links, and related services. By accessing or using Prayvite, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Who may use Prayvite
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Prayvite account. If you are not old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, you may use Prayvite only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
What Prayvite provides
Prayvite helps people create private prayer invitations, invite others to participate, share updates, and choose reminders or notifications. Features may change as the service develops.
Prayvite is not an emergency service and does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, pastoral, or other professional advice. If someone may be in danger or needs urgent help, contact qualified professionals or local emergency services.
Accounts and security
- Provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current.
- Protect your sign-in credentials and invitation links.
- Notify us if you believe your account or a Prayvite link has been misused.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
Prayer content and invitations
You retain ownership of prayer requests, updates, and other content you submit. You give Prayvite a limited permission to host, process, format, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service.
When you create a Prayvite about another person, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis to share their name, contact information, circumstances, or other personal details. Do not share more than is necessary.
Prayvite links are intended for invited people, but recipients may copy or forward them. We cannot control what recipients do with information they can view. Do not treat an invitation link as a guarantee of confidentiality.
Acceptable use
You may not use Prayvite to:
- Break the law, violate another person’s rights, or impersonate another person.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, defame, or intentionally harm someone.
- Share another person’s sensitive information without appropriate permission.
- Send spam or unwanted commercial messages.
- Upload malicious code or interfere with the security or operation of the service.
- Access data or accounts without authorization or bypass access controls.
- Use automated means to scrape, overload, or abuse the service.
We may remove content, restrict links, suspend accounts, or take other reasonable action when necessary to protect users or the service.
Emails and notifications
Prayvite may send account messages, invitations, security notices, and service communications. Optional prayer reminders and milestone notifications are sent according to the choices made for a Prayvite and can be changed from the service or through device settings.
Our service and intellectual property
Prayvite, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms allow you to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Prayvite or permit you to copy, resell, reverse engineer, or create competing services from protected parts of Prayvite except where law expressly permits it.
Third-party services
Prayvite relies on third-party services for hosting, authentication, email, and notifications. Their availability and operation are outside our complete control. Links to third-party services do not mean we endorse all of their content or practices.
Service changes and account termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Prayvite. You may stop using the service at any time and may contact us to request account deletion. We may suspend or end access when these terms are violated, when continued access creates risk, or when required by law.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Prayvite is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that a particular outcome will result from using it. Nothing in these terms limits rights or warranties that cannot legally be limited.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Prayvite will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of the service. Prayvite’s total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Prayvite during the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Prayvite changes. We will post the updated terms here and revise the effective date. Continuing to use Prayvite after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
